Advancement of Packed Food Company
A large family owned company into packed foods wanted to have clarity and unanimity regarding its future goals. There was a need to align all family members towards these common goals in order to have unity and better output from them. The traditional family owned business lacked professional organizational structure required to manage such a large business.
HMV Consulting was contacted to bring about organizational transformation. We administered a Hoshin Kanri methodology to overcome the challenges faced by the large family-owned company. We carried out a diagnostic session which included sales data analysis, one to one meetings with top management and workshops with top & middle level management. We evolved VISION, MISSION, VALUES, 2020-22 GOALS and STRATEGIC THRUST AREAS (STAs) to achieve those goals. We evolved and aligned a new organizational structure with the strategic goals that are to be achieved in the next 5 years. We also carried out cascading session in order to align Directors, Top level management and middle-level management towards the common goals.
The company was able to open new geographical territories which included UP, Telangana, Karnataka, Haryana and Bihar. One of the goals was to communicate and consolidate the brand equity in existing as well as new markets. The Family owned company; the first time in its history appointed a brand management company and aired TV commercial on a national channel. Many new product variants were launched successfully within one and half years as new product development was one of the “STA” that was defined through our consulting intervention. The new organization structure is reviewed from time to time along with the strategic goals and necessary changes are administered in order to have maximum output on strategic initiatives.
